Who and what
Invoice number, invoice date, vendor and PO or commitment reference against the Procore record.
Denize Invoice Check · for Procore
When vendors and subcontractors enter their own pay applications and bills in Procore, nobody on your team typed those numbers. Invoice Check reads the PDF they attached, compares it with what they entered, and flags every difference for your accountant before approval.

The problem
When subcontractors bill through Procore, the numbers in the record and the numbers on the attached PDF don’t always agree. A wrong SOV amount or billing period gets approved, paid and found months later. Invoice Check does the line-by-line comparison on every invoice, so your team only opens the ones that need them.
How it works
Invoice Check starts when an invoice is created or updated in Procore. Opening the queue never re-runs an analysis, and each version of an invoice is read once.
A subcontractor or vendor enters their own pay application or bill in Procore and attaches the PDF. Procore notifies Invoice Check when the record is created or updated.
AI reads the invoice attached to that exact record, once per version: header, lines, tax, totals and the SOV billing.
Deterministic checks, not AI judgement, compare each fact with the live Procore values and your tolerances.
Accept it, push a correction back to Procore, or return it to the vendor. Nothing is marked reviewed without a person.
What gets checked
For Direct Costs and commitment invoices, against purchase orders and subcontracts alike.
Invoice number, invoice date, vendor and PO or commitment reference against the Procore record.
Invoice total, line arithmetic and tax, recomputed from the document rather than trusted from the header.
Current-period billed amounts on every SOV line, including grouped rows, against what was entered in Procore.
Whether the invoice belongs in the billing period it was entered in.
Company-wide duplicate invoices, aware of legitimate resubmissions, and possible split invoices.
Bill-to and tax set up per project, and the tolerances your company sets for each check.
Questions
Invoice Check connects through its own Procore app, using Procore’s authorization. Your Procore permissions decide what it can read.
Security and data handling →Denize for Procore is for invoices you receive: it reads a supplier invoice and prepares the Direct Cost or commitment invoice for you to submit. Invoice Check is for invoices your vendors enter themselves in Procore: it verifies them against the PDF they attached. It verifies invoices that are already in Procore, usually ones your subcontractors submitted themselves. Many teams need both.
No. It reads records and their attachments and reports what it finds. Corrections are pushed back to Procore only when an accountant chooses to, and only for the current-period billed amounts on a commitment invoice. Direct Cost changes stay in the Invoice Check draft.
AI reads the document. The comparison is done by deterministic rules, so the same document and the same Procore values always give the same result, and every difference shows both values.
Yes. Invoice Check can act as a verification step in a Procore invoice approval workflow, sending clear invoices on and routing the rest to accounting review. We configure this with your Procore administrator during onboarding.
Invoice Check plans are based on the number of invoices checked each month, per Procore company. Book a demo and we’ll quote it for your volume.
